(CNN) — President Joe Biden has tested positive for Covid-19, according to the president and CEO of UnidosUS Janet Murguía.
Biden was expected to speak at the group’s conference in Las Vegas Wednesday night.
I was just on the phone with President Biden. And he shared his deep disappointment at not being able to join us this afternoon. The president has been at many events as we all know and he just tested positive for Covid
Murguía told attendees.
Biden, 81, had been scheduled to take the stage an hour and a half prior.
CNN has reached out to the Biden campaign and the White House for comment.
Do we think that he'll make it? COVID is less deadly than before with vaccines, better treatments, and Biden has top notch medical care. But at the same time, he's 81, his brain is soup, and he's had COVID before I think. If Trump somehow survived COVID at its peak, I think Biden has a reasonable chance
if he gets brain fog we'd reach unseen levels of joever
Brain fog³
Probably not. He has amazing medical care and vaccines help a ton. Also nothing ever happens.
On the other hand, this could be this week's decade!
Yeah that's what I'm thinking, if Trump could survive COVID at its peak, Biden probably can now with the medical care he has.
There's also a ton of variability. I've seen 40 year olds die and 99 year olds survive.
I'm manifesting as hard as I can.
Your username is about to become the most epic own in history, IF comrade Covid does its job.
So take my energy! ༼ つ ◕◕ ༽つ
Long covid has 1/5 chance and accelerates dimentia.
What if he already had long COVID? Does it become long COVID²? His dementia or condition that he has is already pretty bad, if it gets worse he probably wouldn't even be able to read a teleprompter anymore.
After her second infection, Linda Ronstadt lost the ability to speak and hear. Took her months of therapy to be able to speak again. Still can't hear.
Whatever condition he has is going to get worse.
Or COVID kills the part of his brain that causes his condition, so he gets better, but also more foolish at the same time.
I don't think brains work like that though.
