    I guess they somehow convince themselves that the odds of getting long covid from covid are much lower than 10% and just figure 'oh well I'll be sick for an extra 2 weeks but I can enjoy all my treats for the rest of the year, good deal' ... the virus also thinks this is a good deal btw covid-cool

      though from a 'capitalist workforce overseer' perspective long covid leading to a larger and larger disabled workforce means they might get a lightbulb flashing at some point, or.. they will just dip into child labor more and more as replacement, classic move, run the other way
