    Not real into all the "SHES A PSYCHO" "SHES INSANE" type language I'm seeing in here...

    I do want to ask though, is this a freak incident or is the genocidal zionist colonial regime just like this as a society? Do people just go postal on the reg because they live in a brutal failstate built wholly on the backs of Palestinians? Did Al-Aqsa Flood and its consequences worsen things as far as Isntrealis going wild with murder?

      For sure. The Israeli economy is tanking, people are leaving in droves and the country is isolating itself from the rest of the world. Zionists are hated everywhere except for the most loyal vassal states of the US empire, and even there it's only fascists and government officials that like them at this point. Hamas destroyed the illusion of Israel's invulnerability and the IDF has admitted publicly that they can't destroy them through military means. AnsarAllah continues sinking Israeli ships in the Red Sea and now a war with Lebanon is brewing. People can feel that they're on a sinking ship.

      Also, I don't think Israelis are just like... born as genocidal freaks. Most people everywhere are normal people at their core with empathy and a conscience. It was probably easier to rationalize or suppress the fact that you live in a genocidal ethnostate before October 7th. That will make people snap.

        Also true re: not being born a genocidal freak, although IIRC Israeli schooling features the IDF a lot and does drive the OUR HOMELAND thing in deep... maybe that makes it worse? Idk.

        Also even if someone is groomed into being a hateful, cruel, genocidal piece of shit there's still a line between cheering for that and actually being confronted with what it materially means that fucks people up. For every true psychopath who genuinely revels in the harm both external and internal, you've probably got at least as many getting all sorts of permanent wounds inside while trying to live up to the ideals of callous cruelty they've been taught or getting swept along in a sadistic frenzy. Fascist ideology lionizes that self-destruction as a sacrifice made on behalf of others, but just saying "it's good to hurt other people, and also yourself" doesn't actually work to blunt the consequences so much as it does simply lead its footsoldiers to destroy themselves further enacting violence on behalf of their rulers' whims.

        And this principle doesn't exonerate a thing, of course, it just highlights how even in the most cynical and self-serving contexts genocidal hate and cruelty is also extremely self-destructive. It's not only an abomination that brands someone as ontologically evil, it's also bad for them too. Literally no one wins but the most distant and cynical ghouls who can reap the material benefits without having to reckon with the consequences.
