    Where were you during the war, champ?

    it's deeply instructive how people frame what it means to "be a man".

    as a man, I am not impressed with it invariably meaning "high capacity for tolerating and delivering pain and destruction".

    like, we can be more than this. also, guys who celebrate it strike me as fully living in a depressive, painful pattern of behavior.
