People love to shit on the south, but the food is delicious. You'll need a nap afterwards, but it's unlike anything I've had elsewhere in the country.

Moved outta Texas and literally the only things I miss are my 1 real world friend, and the tasty food options

Once you've eaten at Freebirds, Chipotle is truly exposed for the inexcusable trash that it is. DRENCHING RICE IN LIME AND CILANTRO IS NOT SEASONING IT GODDAMNIT.

Texas barbecue is unmatched. I'll rag on it all day but damn nowhere else really touches the same quality

I want to argue with you, but I don't want to reveal where I grew up. Fortunately there are enough different regional barbeque styles that I can say I disagree firmly, and that every type of barbeque except the one I grew up with is invalid even if it is still delicious. Also I'm a vegan now so my opinion really doesn't count

Lol yeah that's how it goes. I went to a place in Austin that did cauliflower burnt ends so hopefully more vegan options keep coming to barbecue.

Ooh damn that does sound good. I've had some really good pulled jackfruit at restaurants before too, but it was hard to recreate at home
