So I'm gonna be a crying mess because i tried out Hunt Showdown 1896 yesterday trying to run away and find somewhere safe away from all the monsters and end up trying to dodge being conscripted into ww1 a few years later. At least if I survive I can try to work my way into joining the Bolsheviks or grifting my way into economic and political power through abuse of future knowledge and try and lobby FDR to keep Wallace as his VP. Lots of possibilities as long as I can escape that spiritual hocus pocus zombie bullshit.
What about you folks?
It’s so zen, I can put on a podcast and zone out or be totally immersed and just look at the trees and streams and listen to the engine purring as I struggle up a hill. (Or it’s incredibly un-zen when you roll the trailer because you weren’t paying attention to how much camber there was on that path for like 5 seconds and now you need to plan a rescue mission and get the cargo you just dropped out of the river…)
In some ways I consider it like the perfect blend between a zero brain needed chillout game like powerwash simulator and an all attention required challenge like dark souls (looking at you Northern Aegis Installation - you can go to hell). Such a good game.
Basically how I feel. It is chill very often as much as you want. It's just that you can also turn it into a challenge. cruise and enjoy the scenery and enjoy exploring. Watch your cool truck go up a neat rock. Then suddenly it can be a big 3D puzzle game. Really excellent and adds some spice games like euro truck sim are missing for me. Plus you can decorate your truck. Good in co-op also. Just doing above but with a pal
