the cool move is to trade away the resource that you have hoarded as it has become the most limited for a bunch of great stuff and then play that "monopoly" card immediately after to reclaim all of it back.

i call it "Dutch International Development & Entrepreneurship" and it turns everyone against you, but that doesn't matter because you are completely caked up.
