i'm liking the knucklewand so much i want to make a DnD battlemage built around it. Best in class grip, whole new way to cast spells. a punchin' and a castin'! knucklewand
Maybe modify hexblade or something to turn ranged spells into melee spells and make damage less consistent but slightly larger - that could be fun. Or you don't even really need a damage debuff because being melee only would be a big disadvantage. Maybe melee-optional, but there's a greater payoff in terms of damage if you melee cast a ranged spell...
ive been messing around the magus builds and it looks like it'd be awhile before i could equip my wand? it looks like many of these magi classes need to take feats before they can wield them. i really need to the ability to punch effectively at least some of the time. hexblade looks cool though i love charisma characters

When you sometimes have to shout "I CAST FIST!"
Big Mashle: Magic and Muscles vibes
Better than axesaw
There's a decent half-caster homebrew class called magi that would work for that, if your DM is accommodating.
Thank you, ill look into this!
