That moment when you get sent to Asscabin because Harry Potter saw your pencil and thought it was an illegally modified wand 😔😔😔😔
Open up, it's the magical UN. Drink your butterbeer and stop thinking about how a TERF has used a potion that can literally change your gender as a central plot point in multiple books!
At any point if the series does anyone bring up the idea of abolishing the very fucked up system of having weird spirit creatures sucking out your soul or whatever at asscabin? Or do they just kinda shrug and accept it the whole series long?
Accepting the torture demons at the torture prison as a part of life that doesn't need to change seems pretty normal for the neoliberal ideology
Btw... Hermione is black. Let's laugh at her for wanting to abolish slavery.
nuh uh. Can't fool me. I went to UU. Sock with half a brick in it for me.
Why waste time scrounging up both a sock and a half-brick when a single cast-iron frying pan is already more than adequate for any imaginable problem, plus fairy incursions? Typical PMC wizardry, always trying to overcomplicate magic.
They got an entire unit of surplus US military wands from WW1. 60% of them don't work anymore

i'm liking the knucklewand so much i want to make a DnD battlemage built around it. Best in class grip, whole new way to cast spells. a punchin' and a castin'! knucklewand
There's a decent half-caster homebrew class called magi that would work for that, if your DM is accommodating.
Maybe modify hexblade or something to turn ranged spells into melee spells and make damage less consistent but slightly larger - that could be fun. Or you don't even really need a damage debuff because being melee only would be a big disadvantage. Maybe melee-optional, but there's a greater payoff in terms of damage if you melee cast a ranged spell...
ive been messing around the magus builds and it looks like it'd be awhile before i could equip my wand? it looks like many of these magi classes need to take feats before they can wield them. i really need to the ability to punch effectively at least some of the time. hexblade looks cool though i love charisma characters
Does the bayonet even have to be mounted like that ot it can just be sticked at the end? Entire thing looks rather fragile and if it the latter case then a better version is availble, it's called spear.
The magic-y bits come out the end, I'm guessing, and they don't want them getting tangled up in the bayonet
But the sawn-off wand does work? Hmm you could also mount the spear blade on the other end of wand and use something shorter, like assegai?
Or just use traditional Polish magic wands:ShowShowShow
Balisongs are cool as shit I wish I had any reason to ever have one. Also to not look like a weirdo murderer if I did have one lmao.
I have one that isn't actually a knife, it's just a comb. That's a legit reason to get one (assuming you're not bald)

Best argument to stop reading theory I have seen

Peasants, true mages wield their magic with their bare hands. I’M the one with the powers, not the stick.
If your spell casting doesn’t make me feel like I’m in the famed mirror of clairvoyance show Dragon Ball, I want nothing to do with it!
It looks like itd be way harder to disarm the knuckle wand, so im going that that one
I actually have a trench knife IRL so I feel a bit biased towards the knuckle wand but I do like the simple effectiveness of the nail wand though... hmmm...
i wish the nail wand had a bunch of other smaller wands randomly jammed into the front like nails instead
that being said the obvious answer is butterfly wand so you can do the whole butterfly trick routine to intimidate other mages before the spell battle begins
a bunch of other smaller wands randomly jammed into the front like nails instead

Sawed off shortwand will probably have recoil like the tiny gun from Men In Black. I'll go with the butterfly wand, because it'd look cool and no other reason.
