Tbh Ive seen a lot of former chapos/dirtbag lefties go the lib social dem route. I cant imagine why besides some sort of copium to avoid realizing just how fucked everything is right now.
Caring about other people and being willing to make sacrifices of material comfort for their sake scares a lot of fairweather leftists into being succdems. They dream of magical northern European paradises that make the cruelty invisible and distant.
