Caring about other people and being willing to make sacrifices of material comfort for their sake scares a lot of fairweather leftists into being succdems. They dream of magical northern European paradises that make the cruelty invisible and distant.
Racism is a key underpinning for all those european soc dem states. Hell even the UN thinks Norway needs to chill with the racism.
