    Undercuts are bad and you should feel bad if you haven't considered how they should work during your mold making process. Poor planning can lead to air bubbles, excess flash, and/or damaged parts.

    If you're doing a two-part mold, you will likely be better off if you cast the part separately, rather than trying to mess around with an undercut. Chances are your home setup looks like this:

    It's definitely something you want to think about while sculpting. If you have poorly done undercuts, your final piece will require more work than if you skipped undercuts altogether. Don't be like this guy:
