She is on the order of Rouge from the X-Men cartoon from the 90s. I bet if she put on dramatic lipstick (despite it deviating from the source material) they'd shut up. She's on the order of Korra from LoK. Did Korra ever get transvestigated? They dress Lara up in a bunch of dresses. I even hear the outcry of support for tomboys and muscle mommies. And as far as "accuracy" goes, doing a bunch of parkour, vaulting around traps and tombs would need upper body strength. Phrenology on an animated character is advanced tech. What a strange character to latch onto.

I remember some argument about Princess Peach in the new Mario movie claiming that they altered her personality to be more girlbossy than she is established to be in the lore. That Peach expresses femme (citing things that weren't getting kidnapped that I don't recall) that gets eclipsed by more masculine traits and basically memory-holed. It's the same way people talk about Nami from One Piece being very mean+money obsessed despite being able to cite times that she's been very nice to every other Straw Hat. Perhaps if Lara were a very flirty cishet and turned into a forward facing all-business explorer people might make a real complaint, but it sounds like she was never like that.

I can't imagine this is more than tourists being upset instead of being happy while watching Moo Deng. This is the silliest thing ever.
