Two weeks out from the election it would be a terrible strategy to intentionally deplatform the largest leftist pipeline on the internet, especially considering the potential to radicalize scores of disillusioned liberals
If would also give Ethan and destiny exactly what they want, which is to silence all pro-Palestinian voices
Hasan's strategy of largely ignoring Ethan and using the drama as launching pad to educate on the crimes of Israeli apartheid is driving Klein up the wall, the man is spiraling
Replacing that with an online hunger strike just isn't efficient or likely to be effective in any way
Hasan won't be getting 70k-200k views on election day streaming on TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube
Twitch is his platform, you can't just transfer an entire audience to other platforms overnight, it takes years to build up, having the platform is simply more important than making a well-meaning moral gesture that'll be forgotten in a month
Listen, just say you want your slop. I'm sure they want to be unbanned, too. Should anyone try to do anything about that, or should we just do whatever allows you to tune into Hasan on Twitch still?
Obviously your post is in bad faith and honestly disgusting. You see a post where people are being silenced for supporting Palestine and you are trying to shift the blame to someone you don't like a personal level. You saw pro-palestinian and pro-lebanese voices getting silenced, 2 of these people have family being bombed, and you try to make this into an opportunity to stir up drama. You are gross.
All of the people who were banned are friends of Hasan and have direct communication with Hasan. None of the people who are banned would want Hasan to stop streaming. They like that he reports Israel's crimes to thousands or millions of people. It is very likely that Hasan is talking to them right now to try to help them out and possibly also talking with twitch to try to get rid of the bans.
Hasan is a huge fucking money maker for Twitch. Maybe their biggest. I'm not shifting blame to Hasan. These accusations are bullshit, and Hasan should go on strike and make it hurt for Twitch. No one else on the platform is running 30+ minutes of ads a day to 40K+ viewers and bringing in $35K+ a month in subs. If he didn't have that sort of power and impact on their operations, then they would have banned him for 30 days, too. Do you think the ADL didn't ask for it?
EDIT: And he's about to enter his biggest money making period for twitch with the electio
EDIT: By the way, @dead@hexbear.net, since I forgot initially, go fuck yourself for me "bad faith". You care more about your slop watching Hasan than doing literally anything to actually stand up against Twitch and these fucking racist zionists. Calling me bad faith when when you are about to give Twitch $7.99 or watch their ads as a reward for banning Pro Palestine voices. Nothing is stopping Hasan from going to YouTube or Instagram or TikTok, plenty of other streamers already stream there.
This isn't how strikes work lol. One streamer withholding labor doesn't have leverage in this way. Twitch would either ignore it or just punish him. All this would do is silence the biggest pro-Palestinian voice on Twitch.
There's about to be only one pro-Palestine streamer on twitch at this rate. How long will that last?
Hasan isn't some normal streamer. The revenue he brings in for that company probably covers a couple staff's monthly salaries. He alone makes ~$250K/month, and because he hits the $100K threshold in a couple weeks, that means twitch is also making $250K/month off of him.
I just cancelled my Turbo subscription over it and I selected other and told them that if they are going to treat Arabs and Muslims in a racist and unfair manner, then I don't want to give Twitch my money. I'm not a streamer but that's the most I can do right now. I'm leaning toward a 30 day boycott as well.
If Hasan had a spine, he'd stop streaming for 30 days and refund everyone's subs.

lol Hasan with Hezbollah strategy of not responding to provocations and keeping cool at all times.
I'm starting to realize how much money and viewership Frogan, Vio, Denims, and Capri are about to lose out on from their month-long bans
I never said anything about Hasan going dark. I said not streaming on Twitch. He can stream in TikTok, Instagram, or YouTube.
nah, he should simply stream Bisan's documentary and any other available Gazan-filmed footage 24/7 without physically being online or saying a word

Why exactly is covering electoralism more important than solidarity with pro-Palestinian voices being silenced by Twitch over racist lies?
You're just projecting that these people, who he actually knows and talks to, want him to go offline, and that he's refusing them.
Listen, just say you want your slop. I'm sure they want to be unbanned, too. Should anyone try to do anything about that, or should we just do whatever allows you to tune into Hasan on Twitch still?
I think you're naive if you think Hasan not broadcasting would commute their ban in any way.
Just say you care more about your slop. Is that so hard?

i don't think their statement was at all unreasonable.

Well, a lot less if he voluntarily self-bans.
He can go stream on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram for 30 days.
The idea has some tactical merit, I think it's a discussion he should have with his peers on the platform imo
