A new poll suggests that Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein is drawing more voters from former President Donald Trump than from Vice President Kamala Harris.

According to a Noble Predictive Insights survey released last week, Harris holds a narrow lead over Trump in a hypothetical three-way race. With Stein on the ballot, Harris' lead expands, pointing to a potential spoiler effect similar to what many Democrats blamed Stein for doing to Hillary Clinton in the 2016 election.

For Trump, the emergence of Stein as a potential spoiler may be a critical factor in battleground states, where even a small shift in votes could determine the outcome. For Harris, Stein's candidacy could paradoxically provide an unexpected advantage, drawing votes from Trump and narrowing his pathway to victory.

Stein has unequivocally rejected the endorsement, calling Duke a "racist troll" in a social media post. Nevertheless, the attention surrounding the endorsement has cast a shadow over Stein's campaign and added a controversial layer to an already-complex race.

Duke's public break from Trump marks a reversal of his 2016 and 2020 endorsements, accusing Trump of being too closely aligned with Israel and the "Jewish lobby."

This development, while unlikely to influence a large number of voters, may sway far-right or nationalist segments of Trump's base who feel alienated by his foreign policy stances.

newsweek, none of today's serious fascists know or care about david duke. this is more likely to affect moron 'optics' liberals in the greens who feel intense shame any time anyone does anything. david duke is not a serious political actor and hasn't been for decades, and this is how he makes people remember he exists. he's a washed out crank nazi gambling addict, and most of even the far right forget he exists until the media brings him up because he does some thing to draw attention to himself like this. Even anti-fascists forget this clown exists. I am surprised to hear he didn't die in a gutter somewhere during lockdown. In fact you, newsweek, help his "career" more by writing about him than he is capable of doing on his own these days and for the past 30 years.

I'm PSL , but worth the perspective stated by the Stein campaign that they denounced this fascist creep and told his boomer supporters (all 3 of them who stayed after he defrauded them in the 90s, for gambling) to buzz off immediately, whereas Kamala is touring with the genocidal Cheneys, who in actuality, harmed more people than duke could dream

I have two possible explanations for that:

One, he knows his endorsement is toxic and will piss people off and he’s basically trolling.

Two, he’s an old school antisemite before all else, and is one of the handful of guys who are actually anti-Israel because they’re antisemitic, and Kamala and Trump are both pro-Israel

Tulsi Gabbard, the only candidate to run with Hindutva as part of her pitch, seems like exactly the type of person he'd endorse.
