From what I've seen, there were huge production issues with the anime and the quality drops off a cliff after the first episode. A lot of people are suspecting David Zaslav of deliberately sabotaging it by releasing it prematurely because he hates animation. I'd say check out E1 and if you like it, then read the manga; it's pretty short.
If you're ok with horror, and body horror and whatnot in particular, you should check it out, sure! I feel there are CWs (body horror mainly, idk) but that's generally par for the course with horror...
For a cozy but hilariously presented idea of what his work (Junji Ito) is about though, I'd reccomend checking out Junji Ito's Cat Diary (would recc either way really)
