I plowed through CS and really didn't enjoy it all that much, I should give it a second go. Something about the game just didn't mesh with me on the first go round.
It leans in very hard on the faction war system which doesn't really let you have time for quiet exploration. Also goofy as fuck combat music that I've grown to love but is very silly. The stalker games generally focus way too hard on the combat sometimes to the point of tedium and the stronger points have always been the quiet atmospheric exploration sections.
