    None of this applies to me or what I'm talking about. The term doomer is sometimes cast as a wide net up to and including people just being upset about the state of affairs. Of course there is the reactionary dooming that you may be speaking about which I agree that it can go far that you may see but I don't think that applies to OP

      It's an annoying pendulum that the mega is going through. Doomers shit over any attempts at building a better world, and bloomers overcompensate by saying that a better world is inevitable. Neither of these are correct, and neither of these are particularly grounded in their analysis. Right now, the pendulum is swinging back to the doomer side because the Syrian state is collapsing, and the bloomers are labeling everyone they dislike "doomer."
