When you're this far down the magical woo pipeline, you understand less about how the world works than a medieval peasant.
Mideval peasants get a worse rap than they deserve as well.
That's true, I'd imagine most medieval peasants would absolutely be in favour of vaccinating against diseases that killed 7 out of their 9 kids.
