I can end up enjoying most of his stuff but he just seems so irony poisoned lately, and then when he tries to really be serious it just comes off as laughably stupid
My guess is he pretty much let a part of himself die as a response to how absolutely hopeless the situation in the USA seems. Probs overanalyzing/being a mopey drunk fuck but thats how it seems to me
His speil during the primary tour about the grating effect of doing their jobs consuming bullshit media to riff on was kinda relatable to me. I love cooking but could never work in the restaurant biz, the alienating effect of unnecessary toil will crush your soul.
It gets grading because I like them but they've just become as effective at impacting the world is someone like Rachel maddow, well there politics are a lot left of hers it just feels like the same impact on the world
