Same! It's why I love the Frieza arc so much because toonami for the longest time only had dubbed footage up to that point, iirc right before Goku fights the Ginyu Force, it'd get to one episode then restart to the beginning of Z. So when the new episodes dropped, Goku's fight with the force and Frieza it was such a big deal.
Yess, seeing Goku go super saiyan for the first time was amazing. Thinking back, that block of anime on Toonami was all great. Along with DBZ and Sailor Moon there was Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, and I could go on and on.
It was so surreal finally seeing super saiyan after years of seeing tidbits from later on in the series coming from Japan online, sure it was a spoiler but it was still dope when it happened.
On September 10th 2001 I was coming home from school and watching Sailor Moon and Dragon Ball Z before swim practice. A much simpler time lol

The best, of course, was Hamtaro. Hamha!

Okay, the Toonami block was cool, but those remixes tho
Do you mean these?
It's the biggest reason I love DnB so much
