    The contradictions in our society get super unavoidably apparent when contemplating stuff while high, which is why you probably see a decent amount of it in leftist spaces with younger people (I'd assume) especially.

    It lets people break out of the programming a bit, but it's not enough, at all, without seeking ideology. Otherwise you just get hippies

        Probably in a similar way that Philip K Dick wrote such weird books because he was constantly tripping, drugs might make someone see something in a new way. but I knew someone who would take loads of drugs that loved Thatcher so I don't think it's cause and effect, probably more people who already don't respect the law and established order are more likely to go against it and take drugs

            Right, yeah I wasn't specifically saying turn them into leftists, just opening an amount of awareness to the inherent nonsense in society. Without ideology, it's just nothing, so it's not very important, but it can open some people up to leftism.
