I'm sure Twitter slapfights between internet randos are at the forefront of AOC's mind.

Attacking AOC over trivial shit and stuff not remotely related to her is a sad obsession at this point. I'm sure it plays great in small True Leftist circles that will never get anything done.

Hey, I'm not the one obsessively posting about someone I believe has no impact on anything.

The post isn't about her though, it's about the reaction of somebody else, and who says she doesn't have impact? She's having lots of impact, on Yemen, with bombs.

She’s having lots of impact, on Yemen, with bombs.

Describe to me the impact a U.S. Representative -- who does not even sit on any foreign policy committees -- has on U.S. imperialism. Can they order troops around? Can they authorize airstrikes? Can they make deals with other countries? Do they even have access to all the intelligence the U.S. collects? About how much influence do they have on funding anything?

You can't go around talking about how electoral politics are a total farce and then turn around and claim a junior member in the least powerful house of Congress has "lots of impact" on policies that have been almost exclusively run by the executive for the past 70 years.

She could have held up any number of must pass bills, Pelosi's election, etc. She could tweet out to her millions of followers that there's a US admiral in Riyadh giving the Saudis their target lists. She could do countless things bedsides 'deferring to the Caucus' for an indeterminate amount of time.

A baby boomer real estate goon posted his way into the white house. The Twitter example was supposed to illustrate how low a priority opposing wars is for her because she's not even doing that much.

Which was more important to Trump's campaign:

                        1. Tweets
                        2. Countless hours of free cable news coverage, all other Republican candidates having the combined charisma of moldy cheese, a uniquely hated Democratic opponent, Trump being shameless enough to be openly racist/not drop out over any of a dozen scandals/make fun of people to their face

And that's during a presidential campaign, not some posts by a congressperson a year and a half out from an election.

And none ofwhat you're talking about would have any impact on whether the US is bombing Yemen...?

Yeah it would, she could just put an amendment in to defund whatever military operations if they don't do it themselves, Pelosi's margin is only a handful so she could make a huge difference on whatever issues she felt like, too bad M4A and a minimum wage hike don't even register for her either apparently.

Why do you think the fight for M4A or a minimum wage hike was going to be as easy as electing three or four congresspeople? Like did you think capitalism was this giant death star with a big hole in it that says "SELF DESTRUCTS IF THREE DSA PEOPLE WIN SEATS IN CONGRESS."

Where did I say any of that? It won't matter how many succdems get elected if none of them are willing to break with Nancy Peloski

You're literally attacking her over something a random fan of hers said on Twitter I don't think it's off to say it's a weird obsession. Like this is the same shit the libs did with Bernie Bros or whatever.

No, I'm attacking anyone who supports her. Surely no socialists would do so, unless obsessed.

Seems like a superficial criticism. I’m a fairly good looking tall guy and have shit to my name. Looks are like the last thing we should be concerned about.

I have to ask, why do people like you two hate her so much? That’s crazy to me, one of the most popular left leaning politicians we’ve had in a long time along with Bernie, and people on the left still go out of their way to shit on her. I

Nothing against you man and I’m not witch hunting or singling anybody, I’m just bewildered.

AoC has her fucking problems, but some of the hate she now gets from sectors of the left is bizarre

I mean, twitter bullshit and meaningless "hot takes" are AOC's specialty, she probably spends her day looking for sassy replies.
