After reading about the infiltration of the Panthers and just how much control they had over Hampton's decisions and the overall mood of the organization, it's definitely not a stretch.
The Jacobin article has some new FOIA stuff about them doing exactly that kinda stuff to the Panthers.
It does not, probablem is that some astroturf tactics are more like sod tactics. They plant the seeds for the "organic" divisiveness that comes later. Being able to understand that and make it clear to everyone that divisiveness does nothing but hurt the movement is important
