Yeah that's fucked. But weirdly, according to the only pdf of their ideals I can find online (1 year old) it says the party is for abortion?

But I guess all that mad shit he said is what you get in a socially conservative country like Peru.

Decriminalization of abortion. It has been demonstrated that an underdeveloped country that does not control its birth rate or has a birth rate of more than 2% to 3% per year is condemned to remain in poverty. According to world statistics, countries that have decriminalized abortion have managed to reduce the number of abortions; they have made it possible to safeguard maternal life by providing institutional care; they have reduced illicit practices by medical, paramedical and non-medical personnel; they have reduced infant mortality; and they have avoided genocidal practices such as forced sterilization in Peru. With respect to therapeutic abortion, the legislation. We do not agree that abortion should be used as a kind of contraceptive method; on the other hand, the socialist State guarantees the rights of women.

its safe to say peru has the weirdest political arena ever. Incan NazBols, Friedman and Hayek's inspiration, Sexist communists, fascist sibling rivalries, and a militant pseudo communist cult to top it off. would make one hell of a sitcom

edit: oh and a guy who whips himself anytime he gets a boner

He also spoke out against marriage equality, the gender ideology in education

mmmm, what the fuck? he sounds like an actual run of the mill Latin-American conservative when it comes to social issues. fuck, being against gay marriage might be more conservative of a position than that of a lot of actual conservatives.
his rhetoric sounds so weird tbh, very, very different from that of most Latin-American leftists i've seen. let's see how his rhetoric goes in between the runoff vote. very curious to see what happens.
but, as you said, critical support, especially if he's up against a Fujimori.

this is the source for the above comment, for anyone interested.
