There is a total war streamer that I really like to watch. I enjoy his commentary and his place style and I learn a lot about the game from his streams, but I kind of get the impression he is sort of right wing. He normally makes an effort to not talk about politics or allow politics in the chat, but he out of the blue started saying he, "had heard really good things about what is going on in Poland these days." and I was sort of like hhmmmm to what are we referring here?

It's always sad when entertainers turn out to be complete douchebags. It shouldn't necessarily affect the content, but it really does color it. And once you've got that suspicion, you start to analyze other things they say through that lens, trying to work out at what points they're subtly being shitty and at what points they're not.

Then there are people like Tom Scott, who similarly avoids politics but sometimes says some things that might indicate he's some kind of raging communist. I expect he's more likely somewhere in socdem territory, but sometimes I'm not so sure.

Edit: Just for example, this video's message is basically "people with power will not politely give it up, unless you threaten them." The threat of revolution is framed as a positive thing, which can bring real change and force concessions from people with power. Now, of course, I can't say for sure that Tom would be as happy with that threat of revolution being followed through, but it does seem like there's a possibility that might be the case.
