A bunch of people on the far right are engaging in weird philosemitism, helpfully self-identified by the author of this book, driven by their understanding of Israel as part of a united front against Islam, which seems to be briefly referenced by the authors claim that there is a "troubling trend" for young black people to support Islam. This also allows them also to posture about not being anti-semitic, and has an uncomfortable relationship with mainstream defence of Israel which arguably gives a window for these types to present themselves as noble defenders of minorities, not as closet Islamophobes and reactionaries opportunistically accusing e.g. Corbyn, Sanders and the left in general of being racist against Jews.
