Yeah, he's generally very reactionary. I'm sure his right wing views more broadly are the reason for his popularity with a certain subset of people, personally the only IRL JP fan I know is a preppy rich kid. I more meant that I think his transphobic views were his initial launch into "stardom".

I mean that's literally true, he got famous for being extremely mad about laws that punish you for harassing trans people with the wrong pronouns
