Here is an in-depth article about the kinds of people pushing this behaviour forward.
Twitter of the owner. At least they seem to not be backing down. From what I’ve seen there’s nothing in their history that is anti-Semitic, only pro-Palestine and anti-Israel. Yet the framing of the issue by news media is consistently calling them racist, anti-Semitic etc. Fuck Toronto Sun.
Being anti-israel? I haven't been banned yet and I let everyone know I don't like 'em.

@kitten is right though, a burning star of david does give off a bad look and I didn't realize that. Now a burning IDF flag sounds lit, they're wholly evil butchers that deserve that hate. Israeli government does too though as well.
You can also just omit the star; the emojis are defined by text anyway so everyone will know what the flag is one way or another. Though I think a white flag with two narrow blue stripes is fairly recognizable on its own. The IDF flag on the other hand has far less recognition value, plus the IDF is not the actual problem, much like the US military isn't the actual problem with the US; the settler-colonial attitudes that run deep in those societies are.
That's a good point. Without that society and government the IDF would not exist.
Thanks! Also I just looked it up. This is the flag of the IDF. Uhhhhh...
Yeah I think that the libs could jump to the conclusion that you were still burning a star of david with that flag, I dunno.
Since when have we cared what the libs think of our optics?
That's true. I'm only mentioning it because I didn't want to give libs more ammo to attack us. Sometimes it feels like no matter what you do you're going to lose and I hate that a lot.
This is definitely one such situation.
It's like if you speak out against Israel you're fucked but if you don't then you're running interference for a fascist apartheid state and I'd feel like I was betraying Arab comrades. I really hate this, but at least we all know how frustrating it can be.
