The Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic remake is dead and no longer actively being worked on, according to a new report.

surprised-pika-messed-up I figured this wouldn't be good, but now it's dead-dead.

The original game is still playable and doesn't really need a remake TBH

    Christ, that's even worse. See, the entire reason I avoided Fallen Order was 1, I don't fuck with soulslikes(yes, I keep 'DMC-speed hack/slash' apart from 'Souls-speed hack/slash')-- don't like the format, especially don't like the communities they tend to engender-- and the other part of it is because I'm sick of white-guy Jedi; and they didn't allow Cal to be customizable at least. I'd have to go looking for a melanin mod, or a total character replacer before I ever booted it up.

      Yeah, they do the shitty Disney Star Wars thing of having the PoC characters be supporting cast (the mentor character here) or fascist villains (the main Jedi hunter villain working for the Empire).

      I'd have to go looking for a melanin mod before I ever booted it up.

      God, I'm having flashbacks to awful freeze-gamer dweebs modding Baldur's Gate 3 to whitewash the one Black main character. The character models were originally designed to look like the actors, too.

        Yeah, half the reason I'd want the melanin mod in the first place is to get those very same kyles pulling the white Wyll shit(yes, I saw that) to seethe about it
