Talking to boomers is always like carrying a boulder up a mountain. So I discussed the situation in Palestine with my mom, got to clear up some misconceptions, and I got her to sympathize at least with the Palestinians being torn from their homes. Then the media overrides the progress made with one 5 second clip of Arab pro-Palestine protestors chanting 'god is great'. Thank you media for instilling on that generation that anyone with a beard chanting god is great is a terrorist that is coming for them. ffs.

Have the same exact problem with my mom. I can instill her in how much of a piece of shit Biden is, but the second she sees him speak on CNN about how great and good america is her brain reverts right back too "yeah but he's a good guy".

This trick surely won't work but when I want to make an online point about Biden in a place filled with libs - I mention that there are ~330 million Americans and I simply do not care if he's kind, generous, and thoughtful to a person standing in front of him.

That at least probably stops the "But he's better than Trump" crap which I fucking hate.

You should judge a pol (or anybody) not by what they say or how they seem but by what they actually do. Biden never fails to say shit like "My son, Beau, was very sick in the hospital and I feel your pain". I think that's sincere to the person standing in front of him.

Obamacare was a shitty patch on a terrible healthcare system. If Biden's such a great guy who truly feels the pain of Americans especially workin' people. How can Biden not support m4a for the 330,000,000 million people - lotsa of workin' people - he will never meet?

It seems to me the answer is - Biden's not actually such a great guy after all.
