Your profile barely matters on dating apps fwiw. Most people struggle because they treat it like Serious Business instead of yet another game on your phone to idly pass time.

I don't think that's really true at all tbh.

Pics of you smiling / doing cool stuff. Not overthinking the profile writing matters too I guess.

        my opinion, but whatevs.

ah, i was reading "profile" to mean the whole package -- pics & bio. i certainly agree that high quality pictures, depicting cool stuff, are the most important thing.

(i'd also agree that not having an overthought/overwrought bio is important, but my sense is that guys who are within normal distribution ranges of conventional attractiveness and who don't really put any quality thought into their bios at all (or at least fail to comport to the general genre conventions of bio writing) end up suffering for it.)

Pictures matter more than anything you write, and even then it's arbitrary. I know that I've swiped left on hot, cool people by accident or just let conservations die because I forgot about them. It's not as serious as people try to make it out, and the amount of "gaming" the system is pretty limited.
