Fuck this fucking thread. It's as much of a struggle for me to keep weight on as it is for most people to lose it. So go fuck yourself OP. Also, fuck everyone in this thread spouting the bullshit gym teacher calorie counting junk science--the body doesn't have to absorb everything in the food you eat; it can just let it pass right through, and it's more than smart enough to regulate absorption rates (but for some reason corporations have found ways to fuck with people's metabolic regulation; I wonder why?). Calorie counting is just personal responsibility rhetoric for physiology--and it's no less invalid in this arena.
Why does it anger you though? I've had a BMI of 18 for the last ten years (except of a couple of times when I really gotten into some sport and gained like 5 kgs of muscles) and I don't particularly mind.
Have you ever had a medical professional tell you that you were underweight and that it was scaring them? My BMI is still under 18, and that's after gaining over 10 pounds in the last year or so.
I've been told by my doctor that I was underweight as a teen and occasionally doctors suggested I should eat better, but I guess I just treat it as anyone else going "man, you're too skinny". But I dunno, I've had a doctor prescribe me homeopathy so my trust in doctors here in Russia isn't very high...
