I disagree, I think audiophiles are mostly just horribly under educated people with too much money on their hands, but they do generally appreciate the artists.
yeah, most audio electrical engineers (besides whichever snakeoil salesman runs PS Audio) make fun of audiophiles who think that $200 cables or $1000 DACs that process DSD sound better because past a certain price point any differences are purely subjective
