I got that as a kid too. I had no idea what it meant either. Adults yelling at children for their facial expressions, posture, or whatever other excuse to scream at and abuse a child is very frustrating. And it's worse for the kid bc they often aren't doing anything at all and don't understand what they're being accused of doing, so it's just an adult with power and authority screaming at a confused, frightened child.
