To be fair, I remember alien lifeforms being a problem for Catholicism, partially because of the VeggieTales Twitter thread where, given that VeggieTales explicitly bans depictions of Veggie-Jesus, the veggies must be doomed to eternal damnation due to the lack of substitutory atonement for vegetables. Aliens would probably be upset about that.
