The answer is ideology and to simply not worry about crashing. The reality is that driving is in fact quite dangerous, and we as a society just put up with it.
By the way, I am not exempt, nothing beats a quiet windy road, no cops, and good music.

I've never learned and I never will, because that is stressful and I avoid those kinds of things as an unhealthy coping mechanism. 😌
