I got co-opted. Then that loud, passionate person started calling for actions without putting things to a vote. The actions are all performative.
Last week management found out that ppl were organizing cuz of their performative bs.
Just now they sent an email to the remaining support staff explicitly stating that “we’ve been organizing” but only name me and one other coworker. So now it’s basically outed me with a paper trail.
I’ll likely get fired and some will lose their jobs cuz we don’t necessarily have “pretext” protections without an actual vote.
what happened? :soviet-bottom:

Maybe I'm just being negative but it sounds like that lib might actually be acting on behalf of the boss.
There wouldn't happen to be a recently opened position right above that coworker, like some sort of assistant manager position, would there?
Oh shit, the anti-union double-cross. I've only read about this maneuver in text books. They're dealing with a pro.
Actually maybe. They unofficially offered me a management position a while ago but I put it off until they stopped bringing it up.
Maybe they offered it to them. I dunno..
Lib's looking kinda :amogus: rn.
:sus:
Take them down with you if you can. Or see if you can pin it all on them.
I’ll try. I’m frantically looking through emails trying to recreate a chronology.
But I had all my convos in person or on the phone for safety. Might be my word against their email at this point :/
oh jeez
