Kafka's Metamorphosis is called a major work of literature. Why? If it's SF it's bad SF. If, like Animal Farm, it's an allegory, an allegory of what? Scholarly answers range from pretentious Freudian to far-fetched feminist. I don't get it. Where are the Emperor's clothes?

      I'm so mad at libs right now at reddit I got distracted and your comment totally confused me. I convinced myself you were talking about my "Kill the filibuster. Pass the For the People Act. Pass the John Lewis Voting Rights Act." comment in the megathread. I had to click your link and then the light bulb finally went on over my head. The libs made me see red...
