That is true but it's not what most people are going to think if you say you aren't looking for a relationship, the generally accepted implication being a more serious dating relationship. Meaning you might just be looking for casual sex etc.

c/dating is the only community I've been banned from. I think they tried to ban everyone instead of locking the community.

"im not looking for a relationship right now" dismisses them without saying anything about them, as opposed to "not my type" which could be perceived as an insult because it could be saying something about either of you.
