Orchestral Metal is really good, actually, Metal seems to work really well with the strangest stuff.
Metal is pretty heavily inspired by classical music (to the point where the song structures between the two are almost identical, a ton of bands routinely borrow riffs from old classics, etc). This article is of questionable quality, but goes over some of the more egregious examples of early and influential metal bands pulling from classical music.
And I mean, like, come on. Gustav Holtz is objectively metal as fuck.
Orchestral metal is fucking dope. Great track.
Check out Diablo swing orchestra. Very similar vibe, bit more emo maybe.
Correction: every single metal and rock album needs to be re-released with an orchestra and Ronnie James Dio.
