i love how final fantasy soulsborne sounded like a good idea until you saw it.
this e3 has been pretty damn bad. Honestly shocked more companies didn't skip it, they really weren't ready for it. Ubisoft's was okay but that's because I expected nothing and got a new Mario + Rabbids. Plus Avatar, while not interesting, was probably the most next-gen looking game of the show.
my problem was that i could see all the problems of FF15 (mashy combat with no weight, a party system that didn't add anything) alongside horrible Shadow the Hedgehog-esque edginess. To be fair, if it has a story on par with Shadow the Hedgehog, it will be an absolutely amazing game.

What if Final Fantasy, but we get rid of the story and most of the classic mechanics?
Just give me the rest of FF Remake already.

FF15 broke my heart. There was a legit good game buried in there, but they had to make it Cutting Edge rather than Entirely Playable.
It was like the polar opposite of FF9.
