Tupac Shakur was born on June 16, 1971 in New York, the son of an important activist in favor of black rights and a member of the Black Panthers who for his son's name was inspired by Tupac Amaru II, a revolutionary descendant of the Incas who led a liberation movement in colonial America.

Tupac (aka 2Pac) grew up in the poverty and violence of the streets and as a teenager he entered an art school in Baltimore, where he developed his interest in music and acting. His first professional experience in the world of hip-hop came from the Californian group Digital Underground, who took Tupac on tour as the band's staff.

The album "2Pacalypse Now" (1991) was the first step in a career in which Tupac combined political and racial allegations with the postulates of the "gangsta" style, a current of rap that aspired to portray misery, violence and racism of the ghettos.

Though the single “Brenda’s Got a Baby” demonstrated his empathy and conscience, the album’s unsparing examinations of street violence and police harassment led to a public condemnation by Vice President Dan Quayle.

This tension would continue to play out over the next five years, as Tupac’s life grew increasingly tumultuous and his popularity escalated. In 1993, Strictly 4 My N.I.G.G.A.Z., including the hits “Keep Ya Head Up” and “I Get Around,” became his first platinum release. Two years later, following the release of the Thug Life: Volume 1 album (recorded with Thug Life, his group of five MCs), the more somber and reflective Me Against the World reached Number One on the album charts and was nominated for two Grammys.

Things got even bigger in 1996 with All Eyez on Me, Tupac’s best-selling album, which spawned five singles, including two Number One hits, “California Love” and “How Do U Want It.” At the height of his phenomenal success, Tupac’s life was cut short on September 13, 1996 when he was murdered in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas at the age of 25.

After a cyclist has gone two-thirds of their route, they get a puncture. Finishing on foot, they spend twice as long walking as they did riding. How many times as fast do they ride as walk?

Employees should be allowed to fight a customer for any reason. I'd intentionally go to any store which offers me the opportunity to see some asshole get punched out by the cashier.
