They've been around 499 million years past their welcome if you ask me. We've evolved past the need for creatures that have to SWIM BACKWARDS because of their WACKY-ASS SHELLS (just ripping off zebras, can you even). Can't even be bothered to say EXCUSE ME when they bump into you because they spend all their time ZOOT ZOOTING around with their siphons instead of CONTRIBUTING TO THE ECONOMY and LOOKING WHERE THEY ARE GOING (they CAN'T because of their dumb FIXED EYES)
I'd say you're gonna get the nautiloid community up in tentacles, but then I remembered they're eyes are only good for differentiating light and dark.
Squids are out here with their 250-DPI full-color skin - where's the innovation, nautiluses?
