Now, you'd think that they'd adapt local cuisine, especially that of the local Jewish population. But no, couldn't even do that. Imagine the early US settlers refusing to eat corn or potato, that grade of stubborness.

      umm actually you'll find that schnitzel and mashed potatoes is what people indigenous to the region eat
