Not like, with actual credentials but like, you would feel confident doing so.
I'd have to go with punk music, Star Trek, Tolkien, The Simpsons and pre Wii era Nintendo

I could probably actually do pretty high level lecturing on Tolkien and Trek and could maybe even bring a bit to the table.
My experience with Star Wars lore is mostly in making fun of it.e and a co worker would do time theft by reading wookiepedia articles to each other and when you've only seen the movies they're usually hilarious. We decided one day that we were die hard Sebulba fans and he was our favorite character and finding out his last known location was signing autographs on some planet at 10:15am was really funny info.
Tolkien was what got me to learn how to read so I’ll always have a soft spot for his works. Trek lore always seemed like an afterthought to me honestly (outside based predictions like a United ireland in our near future). It seems like the trek EU goes deeper though (much like Star Wars). Recently went on a deep dive about the federation CIA which was really cool though. Reminded me of the culture series and the question of who does the dirty work in a utopia.
There's almost 800 hours of fully cannon Trek and aside from stuff that is really easy to ignore it's weirdly consistent. Section 31 is neat and I think DS9 really cracked the shell of the Federation's so called ethical exploration and the questions that raises are actually really hard to answer. The new Picard series had to be a Trump analogy so it went way overboard and ignored everything going on that wasn't convenient. I also know a crazy amount about Dr Who despite not liking it
You say stuff about trek that I’ve felt but never thought about before. If you ever feel like sectoring about section 31 I truly would like to be tagged so I see it. I heard Picard was libshit on the old sub, is worth watching? I get the canon thing, but star trek is usually rarely about the canon, Star Trek at its purest form is about the questions about our current day posed by the contrived yet insightful setting of the next adventure.
The Picard series is trash. Lower Decks is good
