"No we're not! Why are you so divisive!? We oppose both! We just want Capitalism to moderate itself. We want a Third Way! If all the Classes stopped fighting and Collaborated together then things would finally be stable and calm."
If all the Classes stopped fighting and Collaborated together
This literally just describes the US and Western Europe.
The extra annoying thing about liberals is that you can point to a state where they've implemented every policy they could ask for and they're still miserable.
"We just want all the public bodies of society to work together! The state and business and the unions and the churches to all combine and help steer society. We should call this "Public body-ism" or something. Maybe there's a Latin term for that. We could have some sort of inspiring symbol, like a bunch of sticks bundled up so they're stronger together!"
The real obnoxious thing about that symbiology is that it is - at its heart - a socialist message. Individuals are weak, but collectively we can be strong. Collectively, we are unbreakable.
But slap an axe on the top of it and transform a message of proletarian unity into militaristic imperialism. Suddenly, its not about solidarity but conquest. And unity is only considered useful in the sense that it allows you to break individual others.

Yeah. Which is why the French Revolution topped it with a Phyrgian Cap. Strange how that disappeared...
