    Doubtful. They're a decently big trade partner, and our go-to for when Canada needs to give a largely inconsequential fuck you to the US. Despite the protest they're really not considered an enemy here. The worst I've ever heard from someone about Cuba is that she went on a vacation with the "real" people and they're suffering, but not in the viscerally anti-communist way, just a typical first world tourist trying to make themselves feel good by feeling sympathy towards a generalized third world (I know, Cuba is literally not third world, but that was the vibe).

      People always compare Cuba to really wealthy industrialised countries to criticize it. No one ever seriously compares it to Cuba under Batista, Haiti or Columbia even though those are the similar societies
