I'm looking for a job and have no idea where to look for some sort of data entry job. Everything I see comes across very scammy or extremely contested. I've been unable to find work for about 3 months now and I'm starting to think there aren't any work from home jobs out there at all.

I've considered it lol. But I have no webcam and I think the games I play (factory games and city sim games) don't have much of a following on twitch.

if anything the lack of competition on twitch could help lol

but its hardly a job unless you get lucky and put a lot of unpaid time in building a following

This is true. Most WFH jobs that do exist aren’t entry level

You can find some, but anything that's even remotely entry level is just gonna be a call centre doing sales or customer service, and you'll be competing with a shitton of people for the position.

Like EmmaGoldman said proper WFH jobs (not contract or freelance) are near non-existent right now.

If you're okay freelancing you can try applying for DataAnnotation. I've been doing it for a few months to supplement my unemployment bennies and it pays well for that type of work (around $20/hr). Generally reading through chatbot responses and evaluating them on various criteria (helpfulness, accuracy, inappropriate content, and the like).

Ooh! I'll check this out, thank you. I'm trying to avoid working in person until further into my transition.

I know people that do QA and customer support WFH, but they do NOT seem like cool jobs.
