China's economy rising and forming ties with other developing nations is doing more overall damage than starting another hot war with a 3rd party allied with the US. I don’t think that’s a fair comparison. China is doing things differently yes but they’re also on the complete other side of the world. Venezuela doesn’t have the ability to build its productive forces like China because of its proximity to the United States.
